Meet some of our associations in the Show Dog World

Hal Steiner is a well-known figure in the world of dog breeding, training and showing. He has an extensive background in breeding, conditioning, training, and showing; or association with show dogs, particularly in the field of conformation showing. Throughout his career, he has worked with many top show dogs, achieving great success in the competitive world of dog shows.

One of Steiner's notable friendships and associations was with owners Shirley Braunsten, Jane Firestone and handler Jimmy Moses of the German Shepherd, BIS Ch. Covy-Tucker Hill's Manhattan ROM OFA, who won the prestigious Best in Show award at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in 1987. This was a significant milestone for both Steiner and the German Shepherd breed, as it was the first time a German Shepherd had won Best in Show at Westminster.
